Legacy Speckle Park currently consists of Peter Vogel, his three sons Travis, Josh and Cody along with their respective families.  The first Speckle Park bull was purchased in 2001 and used on commercial Angus females, the results were encouraging, and so we purchased 10 purebred females and another bull, which began our purebred herd.  Speckle Park cattle are the only breed developed in Saskatchewan, Canada, achieving distinct breed status in 2006.  Legacy saw an opportunity to become involved in the breed because of their easy calving ability along with their truly superb carcass traits.  This is a cattle breed that is born with a work ethic built right in, much like the people here at Legacy. The Speckle Park cattle on the Legacy Ranch have proven to be a worthwhile investment from day one, you can be confident that our legacy will be made by breeding Speckle Park cattle.
